Fresh Water Prawns

As a officer and board member of the United States Freshwater Prawn Growers Association we strive to keep up with the latest developments and research and to promote farm raised freshwater shrimp production, marketing and awareness.

Freshwater prawns (shrimp) are fed daily using a high quality, high protein feed.

Oxygen and general water quality are checked and charted daily, each week throughout the grow-out season prawns are caught and measured, then the average length and growth are charted.

Freshwater prawns are pond grown in fresh well water, fed a diet of wholesome grain in a chemical free environment.  Freshwater prawns are eco-friendly, natural and healthy with a sweeter, firmer texture and unique taste for a multitude of recipes from sushi to scampi.
